Chapter 5 returns to the modern era. After starting, we first go to the tomb, take the Sword of Justice from above the corpse, use the sword to cut open the caravan, then proceed to the swamp via the prop in the front right, and click on the bull's horn, iron cage, and signpost on the right to get information. Also, take the lever from the signpost, and continue forward to the city gate. On the bulletin board, you will find Susan's wanted poster; click to remove it and see the secret behind. Take the key from the dozing soldier at the city gate, use the key to open the cage at the intersection, and give the rare key to the old man at the entrance, and he will leave.

A hidden passage can be found where he was sitting. We use the Sword of Justice to cut the rope and enter it, arriving at the next scene. Upon arrival, you can see a mechanism on the ground. The secret is what was seen behind the bulletin board earlier. Open it to get the lamp holder, use the holder to prop up the water curtain, place the shield, and it will start a timed escape game. Here, whether you win or lose, you will eventually be caught, so don't worry too much about it.

After being caught, we first click on the slanted wooden bed to get dry bread from it. Give the bread to the mouse, and we can get a sharp metal piece from the mouse hole. Use the metal piece to unscrew the bed's screws and get the wooden board. Directly click on the hole, and we can go up. After coming up, get the lock and key from the fallen guard's waist pouch, and get the hacksaw from the bag by the door. Reading the escape plan will allow us to get the explosives. Finally, take all the hammers and chains on the ground, and enter the left door.

Entering the new room, take the pliers from the middle box. Use the pliers to retrieve the clock wheel from the sewer, then use it on the pocket watch. Get the note and use it on the measuring cup on the table. Pour the water into the measuring cup, getting a 4-mark can of water. Place the water in the cabinet on the wall, and get the key. Use the key to open the middle box and get the fire starter. Return to your own cell and click on the ground below the chain. First, use the hammer to strike, then follow the green strikes to find the yellow point, and then the red point. After striking open, you can see a boat below. Return to the top, use the fire starter to ignite the bomb, and after the opening is blown up, return to the cell. Place the lock and chain on the chain and hide below for 60 seconds to successfully escape.
