To have a strong combat power, in addition to character development, teaming up is another essential aspect. Many friends do not know how to team up according to elemental conditions. I. Elemental Mechanism
Battle characters are divided into 5 types based on elements: Water, Fire, Lightning, Light, and Dark. During battles, you will encounter various monsters, each with different elemental weaknesses. You can choose characters with corresponding elements based on the monster's weakness. Different elements inflict varying damage effects. Understanding the battle mechanism in this regard will give you a direction for thinking about team compositions involving elements.
II. Elemental Anomaly Characteristics
Attacking monsters will accumulate elemental anomalies, and the effects triggered by these anomalies vary. It's best to choose characters with corresponding elements based on your personal fighting style. The Dark element anomaly puts the target into a state of dark corrosion, dealing damage at the end of its duration based on the damage inflicted during that period; the Water element anomaly causes the enemy to enter a stagnant state, with a brief freezing effect; the Fire element anomaly makes the enemy burn, receiving continuous damage; the Lightning element anomaly puts the enemy into a noisy state, causing additional lightning strikes when attacked; the Light element anomaly causes the opponent to enter a dazzling state, dealing high damage again at the end of its duration.
III. Elemental Burst Damage
You can see the accumulation of elemental anomalies from the top of the monster's head during battle. When the elemental icon above the monster's head goes from faint to solid, it triggers an elemental burst, dealing extra high damage to the monster. To achieve elemental accumulation, consider using 1-2 characters for attacks of the same element. Some character skills continue even after switching to another character, so regardless of whether the switched character shares the same attribute, they can continue to accumulate elemental anomalies on the monster based on the previous character's residual attack. When such characters are on the field, consider adding more elemental types to the same team.
IV. Elemental Overload Bonus
When the enemy is simultaneously under two elemental anomaly states, it triggers an elemental overload, dealing extra high damage and breaking resilience. For some monsters with resilience, they won't be affected by attacks until their resilience is completely removed, at which point they become paralyzed, taking increased damage. Switching elemental roles frequently to apply elemental overload effects can significantly increase your output.
V. Elements and Class Pairing
In addition to elements, the same element has different classes. To combine elemental mechanisms and class choices in actual team composition, you need to know the specific elemental characteristics of the characters and then screen them by class. If you want to deal multi-elemental attacks to enemies and trigger elemental overloads, it's best to choose 2 or more different elements for battle. For example, use the water element to slow down the enemy and combine it with other elemental attack effects to deal damage. At the same time, consider the elemental weaknesses of the enemies to select the appropriate elemental characters for battle.
Each class corresponds to more than 3-5 elemental characters, providing a high degree of freedom in team composition. Later, you can adjust the team based on your combat preferences, even allowing three different classes of the same element to be used simultaneously. However, in the early stages, it's recommended to choose 2 different elements and 3 different classes for the team.
Since the efficiency of elemental anomaly accumulation is "DPS" > "Support" = "Breaker," in an ideal situation, to ensure that the two elemental anomaly states are activated at similar times, thus increasing the overload damage, the main DPS (main C) of the same element plus support, combined with a secondary DPS (sub-C) of another element as a breaker, is the optimal choice. For example, a team with a main C and support of the water element, plus a sub-C of the light element. In the early game, the characters given, Zero and Shamash, are exactly light-support and light-DPS, plus a breaker of a different element, which would form a relatively ideal team. Of course, if there are better options available, they should be considered.
