In the game Dark Sails, there are numerous tasks involved, and the quest "Flame in the Depths" is particularly challenging. Players need to follow a certain set of steps to complete it successfully. Below, I will share some tips on how to tackle the "Flame in the Depths" quest in Dark Sails. Before completing the "Flame in the Depths" quest, you first need to trigger it. At this point, players should go to the eastern port of Yichun Fishing Village and have a conversation with an NPC named Old Sea Wolf. The dialogue will involve some clues, and after the conversation, the adventure journey will begin.

The "Flame in the Depths" quest requires players to explore the deep sea. For this, you need to prepare pressure-resistant equipment or oxygen boosters, as well as diving tools. In terms of items, players should also prepare antidote potions. Once everything is ready, head directly to the designated underwater area.

Upon arriving at the underwater area, players will find multiple underwater caves. Players need to judge and enter a specific cave. Since the entrance of this cave is blocked by a hidden current barrier, three oceanic runes are needed to remove the obstruction, which must be installed directly onto the stone pillars.

After the player removes the barrier, they will enter the core of the cave, where the lost Flame Spirit will be ignited. As this place is an ancient ruin, there is a very large flame statue in the center, with ancient runes inscribed on it. To activate the statue, the player needs a rune puzzle, and each piece of the rune and its rotation angle are specific. After completing the puzzle, the statue's flame will be lit, guiding the player to a secret area.

When players arrive at the secret area, they must be extra cautious, as there may be traps, and enemies might ambush. Players should always stay alert and move around during battles, as the damage from the flame jets is particularly strong. Players also need to use the terrain for counterattacks. Once the player successfully defeats the enemies, the quest is considered completed.

After completing the "Flame in the Depths" quest in Dark Sails, players have a chance to obtain rare equipment, specifically the Deep Sea Flame Armor. With this armor, the player's survivability increases, and they gain additional fire resistance. However, at this point, the player will face Old Sea Wolf again, as he needs to guide the player to the next area.
