Therefore, it's best to bring some green runes to improve survivability. For armor, we can choose light-heavy three-legendary armor or N401. Core items must include the hourglass, bracer, and hunter's mark; all three are essential.

2. Shockwave Summon Build

This build focuses on green runes and is one of the most popular among casual and early-game players. As its name suggests, it revolves around green shockwave damage with summoning as a secondary focus. This is currently the tankiest green build. The reason is that shockwave damage is directly linked to health. Try to have at least 35 green runes; if you feel your damage is low, you can supplement with red runes. Focus on shockwave and summoning runes, with secondary choices being critical hit rate, critical hit damage, health, and defense runes. The overall rune composition follows this logic.

For weapon selection, it's recommended to choose melee weapons with high attack power and critical hits, such as greatswords, dual swords, and furnace guns. Melee weapons are preferred because shockwaves generally require close combat to trigger, and they usually have higher critical hit rates than ranged weapons. Among these weapons, there is one that can spit acid, which can steadily increase summoned creatures. While this weapon's direct damage isn't high, the large number of summons makes it effective for clearing enemies, providing better defensive playstyle survivability.

The most commonly used armor by players now includes Rune Armor, Oath Power, and Beast Armor. These all offer excellent effects and can boost overall damage output. Especially the combination of Beast Armor and glasses is very effective. They significantly enhance damage. The core items for this build are the crown and lantern. The crown is the first choice, while although the lantern is very good, due to limited summons in the early stages, it may not fully showcase its strength.
