In this issue, we will share with you the strategy to defeat the hermit crab in Dave the Diver. In Dave the Diver, the hermit crab is not just an ordinary deep-sea creature but also one of the most challenging bosses in the game. The battle takes place in the deep-sea area of the Blue Hole, where the dark environment and the massive size of the hermit crab create a sense of overwhelming pressure. The hermit crab has a variety of attack patterns, and players need to dodge its threats flexibly while seizing the right moment to attack in order to defeat it.

After entering the battle, the hermit crab frequently uses its claws to strike the ground forcefully. Each strike causes intense vibrations, leading to debris falling from the top of the arena. Players need to constantly watch overhead to avoid being hit while quickly searching for oil drums in the area. The hermit crab's shell is its main defense, making it difficult for regular weapons to cause effective damage. Oil drums become the key items to break through its defenses. When the hermit crab strikes the ground with its claws, the oil drums are shaken out, and players must quickly pick up the heavy drums and aim at the shell on the hermit crab's back. A successful hit with an oil drum deals significant damage and weakens the protection of the shell.

During the battle, the hermit crab's attack patterns gradually escalate. Besides striking the ground, it will attempt to sweep the player's area with its large pincers, which have a wide range and quick execution. Players need to keep moving and use the gaps in the arena to dodge attacks. Additionally, the hermit crab's eyes are a critical weakness. Directly attacking its eyes with weapons (such as a harpoon gun) can put it into a brief injured state. At this time, the hermit crab retracts its body, stops attacking, and provides players with a valuable window for output. Utilizing this opportunity, players can pick up more oil drums and throw them at its back shell to further weaken its defense.

As the hermit crab continues to take damage, the tires decorating its body will gradually fall off, indicating that its defenses are weakening. Once all the tires are gone, the hermit crab's shell will no longer be an impenetrable barrier, allowing players to directly attack it with weapons. However, note that in its low-health phase, the hermit crab becomes more frenzied, increasing its attack frequency and range. Players need to be extra cautious while continuing to utilize oil drums to end the battle quickly.

Successfully defeating the hermit crab not only rewards players with rich battle spoils but also unlocks a follow-up task to collect fragments of the hermit crab's pincers. The pincer fragments are important task items that can be used for subsequent Blue Hole exploration missions, further advancing the game's main storyline. Additionally, defeating the hermit crab may drop rare materials that can be used to upgrade weapons or unlock new equipment.
