The name of the Dead Man's Blade in Yan Yun Sixteen Sounds is Itō. Players first hear about him through casual conversations, where it’s rumored that his swordsmanship is extremely formidable, capable of splitting mountains and cleaving earth. Later in the story, players will directly encounter this character, which can be quite nerve-wracking for many, unsure of how to proceed. So, let’s go over the walkthrough of this part of the story so everyone can get a heads-up and follow along.

We encounter the Dead Man's Blade when Aunt Han assigns us to visit the porcelain kiln during the main storyline. The first encounter requires a battle, and you will inevitably lose and be captured by him. We take advantage of the heavy fog to escape back to Buxian, only to find out that Aunt Han has disappeared. While searching for her, we bump into the Dead Man's Blade again, realizing that he let us escape intentionally to help us find clues about Aunt Han.

While chatting, a group of black-clothed men suddenly appear and shoot arrows at us. You can pick up wooden boards on the ground as shields to block the arrows. Together with Itō, eliminate all but one of the black-clothed men, then follow him to uncover more. Tracking him to the wine cellar, a trapdoor suddenly descends, trapping Itō.

Ignore him and continue exploring forward. Walk uphill to the upper level, use the Buddha statue to press down on a stone slab, and step on another one to raise the trapdoor and free him. Follow him while fighting, paying attention to loot chests along the way. After seeing a statue, go upstairs from the left side.

Upon reaching the upper floor, remember to loot the chest above the statue. There’s an elevator leading back to the lower level we just passed through. Return via the right path to escape. At this point, a large number of enemies appear. After discussing with Itō, he decides to lure them away while we head to a side house, jump through a hole in the roof to rescue Redline. Finally, meet Itō in the bamboo forest hut to conclude this part of the story.
