Today, I want to share with you the guide for the "Jun Yuanzhi" quest in Ghost Valley Eight Desolations. In Ghost Valley Eight Desolations, "Jun Yuanzhi" stands out as one of the most popular side quests due to its multiple endings and deep emotional narrative. This encounter not only features an engaging storyline but also allows key choices to influence character attribute growth, quest rewards, and even determine the final outcome of the story.

The quest begins in Yongning Prefecture. When players wander around this area, they have a chance to trigger the encounter. By the lake, a graceful and aloof young woman named Jun Yuanzhi is practicing her swordsmanship. However, this tranquility is soon disrupted by the sudden attack of a giant crab demon, presenting the player with the first critical choice: whether to help her. Choosing to assist will allow the player to fight alongside the young woman and unlock subsequent plot developments. After repelling the giant crab demon, the player enters the first phase of the quest. Choices made during this phase not only advance the plot but also directly impact character attributes.
In conversations, Jun Yuanzhi will ask the player questions, and different answers will lead to different rewards. Choosing "This is important" grants a 10-point increase in Insight, while choosing "It doesn't matter" boosts Mood by 10 points. Insight, as an important attribute affecting the understanding and efficiency of cultivation methods, directly influences character development. Players are advised to prioritize the Insight boost option to better handle subsequent battles and cultivation.

Months later, players need to return to the quest location to continue interacting with Jun Yuanzhi. At this point, the young woman is practicing her swordsmanship alone by the lake, exuding a sense of loneliness. This phase mainly showcases the storyline, requiring no additional player actions. Players can leave after this and wait for the next phase of the quest. However, if players do not return within a year, they will skip the intermediate phases and enter the fourth ending directly. This not only misses out on exploring other endings but also affects the final rewards.

In the following interactions, players will face another significant plot point. Jun Yuanzhi will ask another question, and this choice will directly impact the character's combat attributes. Answering "Yes" grants a 5% Attack Boost and 10 points of Insight, while answering "No" increases Defense by 5% and provides the same Insight boost. The choice should be guided by the player's current build needs. For output-focused builds like Sword Cultivator or Lightning Cultivator, it's recommended to choose the Attack Boost. For defensive builds like Poison Cultivator or Ice Cultivator, enhancing Defense is more suitable. Through this choice, players can further optimize their character's attributes to better fit their combat role.

Returning to the lakeside months later, players will face the final combat challenge, testing their strength against Jun Yuanzhi. After winning the battle, the plot reaches its climax, leading to the last critical choice that determines the ending. At this point, Jun Yuanzhi asks the player for a favor, and the response will decide the outcome of the encounter. Choosing "Agree" leads to Ending One or Two (depending on previous quest performance) and offers substantial rewards such as rare elixirs or attribute boosts.
If the player chooses "Refuse," it leads directly to Ending Three, concluding the quest; although this ending lacks additional rewards, it presents an alternative fate for Jun Yuanzhi. If the player returns to the quest location after more than a year, they will automatically enter the brief Ending Four, missing out on deeper interactions.

After completing the "Jun Yuanzhi" encounter, players will unlock different endings based on their choices, with varying rewards. Whether high-quality elixirs, attribute boosts, or Insight increases, these rewards play a crucial role in character development.
